Rugby World Cup Betting

The Rugby World Cup in 2015 is being held in England which means interest in this brilliant competition will be at fever pitch.
England are sure to feature heavily in the Rugby World Cup betting and – after their dismal performance in the 2011 event – they will be looking to upset the odds to do what New Zealand did last time and win the trophy on home turf…
England are amongst the favourites in the Rugby World Cup betting
England enjoyed a brilliant Rugby World Cup in 2003 when the likes of Jonny Wilkinson and Martin Johnson inspired Sir Clive Woodward’s team to a final victory over hosts Australia.
Things were nearly just as good in 2007 when England made the final but they were edged out by South Africa who claimed a second title following their emotional victory on home soil in 1995.
The 2011 campaign was a different story though.
England lurched from one off-field controversy to the next and on the pitch their performances were lacklustre and lacking in imagination.
They fell against a less than impressive France team in the quarters and never looked like a side who could challenge for the title.
However, with a host of young players bursting through and pushing out the old guard, the England Rugby World Cup betting odds are sure to be tempting in the 2015 tournament.
Don’t discount the other home nations though
Wales were excellent during the 2011 World Cup and were extremely unlucky to lose out against France in the semi finals following the sending off of Sam Warburton in the first 20 minutes.
With a promising young side continually developing, Wales may be worth a punt to win the title in 2015 – especially as some of the games will be staged at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
