Early season Premier League games will test United's title ambitions

Manchester United's back-to-back Premier League matches with Liverpool and Chelsea could prove vital to retaining their trophy. United were only two Premier League games into the season when they travelled to Anfield, failing to extend on a run which had seen them win five and draw one of their last six Premier League matches away to Liverpool. United had better success against Chelsea a week later, having lost 2-1 there last season.

Derby stands out in Premier League fixtures

One of the Premier League fixtures anticipated even more than usual will be the first Manchester derby of the season at Eastlands on November 30. Former United favourite Mark Hughes will bid to upstage his old club in one of the biggest Premier League games of the campaign.

We would have to look at the 2009 Premier League fixtures to find the next encounter between these two clubs, which is unusually late in the season, on May 9, two weeks before United end their season with a first visit to Hull's KC Stadium on May 24.

Another manager relishing his meeting with United will be Paul Ince, whose Blackburn side host Sir Alex Ferguson's men in Premier League fixtures on October 4 and February 21.

Plenty of Premier League football fixtures to choose from

The other big derby of the season began early on in the campaign, when Everton hosted Liverpool on September 27, with the return at Anfield on January 17. These are just some of the English Premier League fixtures where Ladbrokes.com will be offering the widest range of odds and betting opportunities.

Other derbies to be relished this season will be the Tyne-Tees affair between Newcastle and Sunderland, and the North London meetings between Arsenal and Tottenham.
