Ladbrokes World Hurdle Odds
The Ladbrokes World Hurdle is the leading long distance hurdle race of the National Hunt season and one of the biggest races of the Cheltenham Festival. Horse racing fans and punters alike have been fortunate in recent years as three horses have had their time of dominating the race, having typically been well supported in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle odds.
Big Buck’s the current hero in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle odds
First it was Baracouda, then Inglis Drever and now it is Big Buck’s that is proving a big hit with punters in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle. Baracouda was twice a well-backed winning favourite, while Inglis Drever was successful on three occasions, with the latter of these helping line the pockets of many punters.
Big Buck’s has taken over the mantle of chief Ladbrokes World Hurdle fancy and has already taken victory in the 3m Cheltenham contest in the last three years and going off as an odds-on favourite in each of the last two. It would be no surprise to see something similar this season and it will certainly take something special to finally beat him, although no nine-year-old has won the race since 1988.
Thousand Stars could make it Walsh vs Walsh in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle odds
Although, Grands Crus, Fiveforthree and Mourad are all likely to return for another crack at Big Buck’s, the big threat could come from Thousand Stars, who seemingly may flourish on a step up to three miles. If this proves the case then the World Hurdle could become a family dual, with Ruby Walsh riding Big Buck’s and sister Katie on board Thousand Stars.
