Ice Hockey Betting

Ice Hockey Betting

The National Hockey League (NHL) is one of the most well-known and exciting sports leagues in the world.

However, ice hockey betting needn’t start and end with the North American league – there are plenty of other brilliant events taking place to have a punt on.

And very few of them offer as much excitement or value as the ice hockey at the Winter Olympics…

Ice hockey betting at the Winter Olympics is always exciting

The Winter Olympics may not get as much publicity as its summer counterpart, but there are no shortage of brilliant events to bet o – and at the forefront is ice hockey betting.

The event had been dominated by Canada, with the Canadians winning the gold medal in every Winter Olympics from 1920 to 1932.

Great Britain interrupted their run when they bagged gold in 1936, before the Canadians once again came back to win the next two events.

However, following their win in 1952, the emergence of the Soviet Union meant that they were forced to wait a full 50 years for their next gold medal which arrived in 2002.

Since then they have gone on to win another gold medal in 2010 and there is plenty to suggest that the ice hockey betting odds on Canada will remain extremely tempting for the foreseeable future.

The NHL shouldn’t be ignored though

The NHL continues to offer plenty of brilliant ice hockey betting though and the fact that several teams are all in with a chance of winning it, there are plenty of great odds available.

The Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings have all won the Stanley Cup in recent years and with so many teams capable of upsetting the odds, there could be a big win in it for you.
