Heavyweight Boxing Odds

Some of the biggest names within boxing in the last century have featured in the heavyweight ranks, making it one of the most illustrious weight classes within the sport. Some major boxing names were heavyweight champions during their careers, including Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and most recently the Klitschko brothers Vitali and Wladimir.
KOs certain to be a popular bet in the heavyweight boxing odds
There are a number of reasons why more knockout victories are arguably more common in the heavyweight ranks than in any other weight class. Firstly, given the sizes of the boxers taking part, they can put more weight behind their punches. Furthermore, most do not have the stamina to see out 12 rounds and so as tiredness begins to set in, their movement is virtually nonexistent and the fighters tend to leave themselves more of a target for big punches.
This is in comparison to the lighter weights, where fighters tend to lack the power to knockout an opponent and instead a greater number of fights go the 12-round distance and have to be settled by the scorecards of the ringside judges.
Klitschko brothers currently dominate the heavyweight boxing odds
Vitali and Wladimir Klitshko have been the dominant forces in the heavyweight boxing odds in the past decade and it is hard to see them being beaten any time soon, given a lack of depth in the division. One British boxer with an eye of fighting either of the Klitschko brothers in the semi near future is Tyson Fury.
